Jackson Pollack Paint Day

We love art! Every summer we have a Jackson Pollack Day. (He is the artist that created art with drips and splashes of paint.) We invite some neighbor friends, drop down lots of newspaper, and the fun begins!

I always pull out cardstock and have the kids paint one side with every can of paint we can find in the garage. We buy paint cheap at the local home and garden center. They usually have cans of returned or rejected paint for just $5.00 a gallon.

After all of our artwork has dried, I cut it into note cards. They are original pieces of artwork from the kids, and cheap! Look for inexpensive envelopes and voila! You’ve created your own cards.
